Roman: So, looks like this is it Alex.
A tear falls down Roman's cheek.
Roman: You were like a brother to me, always there for me, having fun with me, I appreciate all the moments and memories we shared. Thanks bro, I love you. R.I.P.
Roman steps away and Anthony sits down near Alex.
Anthony: Alex, I never imagined you'd be the one laying here. In fact, I imagined you to be the last survivor. We had a tough past and all, but we got through it together, and for that I wanna thank you. I will always have you in my heart buddy, take care, rest in peace.
Anthony slowly gets up, looks at Alex one last time, and holds the bursting tears. Anthony walked away and Tomas came up and crouched near Alex.
Tomas: Alex bro, I'm sorry that your here laying down and not breathing like the rest of us. I'm sorry. You were such a good man, I wish you the best of everything in the afterlife my man. Rest in peace.
Tomas stood up, and with the least bit of affection walked away. Tim walked forward from the group and looked at Alex.
Tim: I'll never forget you bro, Rest in peace.
Tim couldn't hold down his tears, he walked away from the group and cried a bit in the corner. Daniel came up to Alex, and put a cigarette in his mouth, lit a match and smoked the cigarette as he spoke.
Daniel: Alex, Alex, Alex. My best friend, I can't believe that your dead now. I fucking loved you with all my heart. Now you're gone, just like that. One second your here, one second your not. It's sad really. This is why I smoke Alex, you never did understand why I smoked. I didn't either, but there was some truth behind it. I wanna say one thing for sure, this is my last cigarette that I'm smoking, I'm dedicating it to you. I gotta say though, I'll never forget you and no matter how life turns out in the future, I will always have you in my heart Alex. I love you, rest in peace bro.
Daniel dropped the cigar and stepped on it. He looked at Alex, put his hands on his waist, and couldn't take the pain. He let out a couple of tears and walked away with his fingers clearing his eyes. Ruslan came up to Alex and took a knee.
Ruslan: So buddy, looks like this is it. I, never got to tell you how I felt about our friendship. I always took you for granted. We always hung out when we were younger and we stuck together like peanut butter and jelly. You were my best friend ever. I don't believe that you are gone because you are still living in spirit, in my heart. You'll always be the friend that I always cared about and always loved as a brother. I'll never, ever forget you, even when our bodies are gone. You'll lay in my heart just like our parents. Goodbye, bro. I'll miss you. Rest in peace.
Ruslan stood on both his legs. He looked back at the group who were looking at him and he looked back at Alex.
Ruslan: It just won't be the same without you.
Ruslan walked away and joined up with the crowd. Emily, who was the only one that hasn't said her last words to Alex, stood there in complete shock.
Daniel: Emily, you gonna go speak with what's left of Alex or not?
Emily starts crying. Ruslan pushed Daniel.
Ruslan: What's wrong with you. She's still not okay after what happened.
Daniel: I lost my best fucking friend, how you think I feel?
Ruslan: Pretty damn bad, but he was my best friend too and that doesn't change the fact that Emily is hurt.
Daniel: Look we have to go, the last thing we need is someone slowing us down. I don't know about you guys but I'm going.
Ruslan: Who do you think you are all of a sudden? You think your the leader?
Daniel: Probably, well we're not going to have some maniac who looks like a dinosaur the leader are we?
Ruslan: No we won't. We won't have any leader. From here on we vote and decide as a group. You can go on by yourself if you please. We're staying here till we're done.
Daniel: When is that going to be? When the damn zombies come out of no where? When the zombies might kill one of us?
Anthony: Daniel's right. We really should get going.
Ruslan: I don't care whether Daniel's right or wrong. Emily is going to say her last words, and I'll wait by her side till she can do it. If you don't want to stay then go.
Daniel: You piss me off you know that?
Ruslan: Oh really?
Tomas: Guys.
Daniel: Yeah!
Tomas: Guys.
Ruslan: You piece of shit. Our leader and best friend just died and your gonna just leave like that.
Daniel: I said my last words you asshole, stop caring for Emily, she won't take you in as she took Alex.
Ruslan: I know that.
Daniel: So then why bother wait here for her? She's only going to slow us down.
Ruslan: You little-
Tomas: Guys!
Everyone, but Emily, looks at Tomas.
Roman: He's right.
Daniel: Whatever, I'm outta here.
Daniel left and Anthony followed.
Daniel: You can stay here and wait to get eaten or you could come with me and look for shelter where we can rest.
Ruslan came up to Alex and took all his equipment. He left Alex's machete though.
Ruslan: Daniel, that piece of shit. Who does he think he is?
Emily approached Ruslan as he was kneeling near Alex.
Emily: I'll have my words with him now.
Ruslan walked away and joined with Tim, Tomas and Roman.
Emily: I can't fathom the fact that your gone. My beloved Alex. I can't believe I'm going to tell you this posthumously but I'm pregnant. The sad part is his daddy's gone, and he's probably gonna live a terrible life. That is if I survive. I just wanted to let you know that I love you so much, and I can't begin to deal with the pain that your death caused. I will always bear you in my heart, Alex. I'm going to go now, I hope you will be watching us from way up above. Your in a better place now. Goodbye Alex. Rest in peace, my sunshine.
Emily turned towards the group and started crying as she slowly walked back. She had her hands on covering her face. The group then decided to leave. They all looked back at Alex and all said goodbye for the last time.
Elsewhere..
Anthony and Daniel are walking, they see a zombie eating a dead humans flesh.
Anthony: That ugly motherfucking-
Daniel: Wait. Look.
Another couple of zombies ran towards the dead human and began to feast on his flesh.
Daniel: Unfortunately, that's going to happen to Alex.
Anthony: Shut up Daniel. How could you say that?
Daniel: It's true.
Anthony: You disgust me. I don't even know why I came with you.
Anthony got up and walked from the cover and shot at the zombies with his AK47. As he was looking through his holographic sight, he shot down the zombies. Thanks to his silencer, no nearby zombies were alerted. Daniel was surprised that Anthony did that so easily.
Daniel: What the-
Anthony: I learned how to shoot when I was younger. Me and Alex used to go to the shooting range and practice our shooting. He always did better than me. Anyway, I'm going back to the group. You can stay here if you want.
Daniel: You're gonna leave me here? Alone? What if the zombies get me?
Anthony: That's your problem.
The group...
Ruslan and the others were slowly walking the direction that Anthony and Daniel walked off to.
Tim: See anything strange?
Roman: Nope. This area doesn't seem to be inhabited with zombies.
Emily: Guys, can you all do me a favor?
Everyone paused and looked at her.
Emily: Go on without me.
Tim: The fuck?
Ruslan: What are you saying?
Emily: I'm going to go back. I want to die with Alex. I'll shoot myself. You can have the rest of my equipment. I'll just have my P90.
Ruslan and the others did not know what to say.
Tomas: Goodbye.
Emily: Take care everyone.
Everyone said there goodbyes and Emily turned around and walked back towards the warehouse.
Ruslan: I think that was a bad idea.
They saw Anthony running towards them from a 200 meter distance.
Anthony: Guys!
Tim: Anthony? I thought he left with Daniel
Tomas: What the fuck happened?
Anthony joined up with the group, stalled a bit to catch his breath and said.
Anthony: I left Daniel by himself. He's surrounded by zombies. Hurry, let's go.
Everyone ran with Anthony leading them.
Back at the warehouse..
Emily joins up with Alex's body again.
Emily: I'm back my love.
Emily laid down near Alex, looking up into the sky. She was heartbroken and lost. She did not know where to go, emotionally.
Emily: I love you so much. That's why I'm about to do what I'm going to do. I don't want our baby growing up in such a world.
Emily put the P90 to her head.
Emily: I'm going to join you, Alex.
Multiple shots were fired and heard from distinctively, as crows flew away.
Back at the group..
Ruslan and everyone found Daniel. He was pinned down in a yellow school bus with about 40 zombies around it trying to get in. Daniel looked very scared.
Daniel: Help! I'm out of ammo! Help!
Ruslan picked up his AUG and shot an entire clip, killing off every single zombie. Tim ran into the bus to see if Daniel was alright. Daniel was shot.
Daniel: Fuck! This really does hurt!
Ruslan: Stop bitching. You deserve it for leaving us like that. This is god's way of showing you not to do that again.
Daniel: Shut up! How about I shoot you in the leg with an automatic machine gun? How would you feel?!
Ruslan: It barely hit you, in fact it only skinned you. Relax.
They all took Daniel out of the bus and Daniel pointed west to a survival camp. There lied a small house. A house where they could replenish their energy. They all head to the house, but cautiously.
Daniel: Hey, what happened to Emily? Where is she?
Anthony: Oh yeah, I just noticed.
Ruslan: She's in a better place now. Along with Alex.
Daniel: Wow, I feel bad.
Ruslan: You should.
Roman: Guys, can we not? Let's just get to the damn house without anymore outbreaks or arguments of any kind. I'm sure as hell tired and I want to sleep.
Tim: Oh my god. You're not gonna believe this.
Ruslan: What?
Tim: Look!
Tim saw a Mr. G near the house. Mr. G, is faster than a Mrs. G. It can kill easily with the immense power it holds. Ruslan took out Alex's sniper. Ruslan shot a bullet but missed. Mr. G was alarmed and ran towards them with great speed. They quickly picked up their guns and started shooting at Mr. G, who did not give up easily. He kept running and running. Just when all hope is lost, and about 20 meters before Mr. G got to them, someone behind the group grapped the .50 caliber Dragunov, aimed it and fired the bullet straight through Mr. G's head bursting it. Everyone looked in sheer amazement. They turned around to find Alex and Emily.
Alex: How long was I gone? You guys killing a Mr. G without me, unacceptable!
Everyone: Alex!!
They all ran towards Alex and this concludes this chapter. But wait theres more...
Strange Voice: That kid is a nuisance to our plans. Eliminate him.
Accomplice: Sir?
Strange Voice: Now go.
The accomplice left towards the house that they were near. The mysterious boss was standing watching them from a mile away with binoculars.
Strange Voice: Let's see you do the same again.
The chapter fades to black with an evil laugh in the background.
